Writer. Community Builder. Facilitator. Entrepreneur.
Rina G. Patel is a Brooklyn based writer, entrepreneur, speaker, and facilitator. She is the founder of SHE Health, a women's health start-up reinventing how mental and sexual health services reach teens and young adults.
At 17, Rina also founded Aahana, a non-profit organization working in India to provide health, education, and skills training to youth in rural regions.
On the side, she is working on Liminal Spaces, a book documenting the past 1,000 years of her family's history, their migration to the US from small farming villages in India, and her personal journey as a first generation Indian-American woman.
Rina has an MA in Creative Writing and Anthropology from NYU Gallatin. Her newsletters and blog posts are based on the themes present throughout Liminal Spaces, her manuscript and the final product of the years of research and writing about her family’s history.
